Cassandra has had a lifelong passion for animals. When she graduated high school she decided to pursue her dreams of working with animals and began attending PennFoster to earn her degree in veterinary technology. She has been working as a Veterinary Technician since 2010 and plans to received her RVT License in 2016. In her personal life, she lives on a ranch with her fiance, two dogs, two cats, a couple of chickens, and a variety of horses. In her spare time, she trains, sells, and competes her horses in dressage and jumping.
Animals have always been a huge part of Julie's life and a passion she has had ever since she was a little girl. She always knew she wanted a career working in the veterinary field. She started her first job as a kennel assistant in 2007 and after further education and schooling became registered as a Veterinary Technician (RVT) in 2012.
She has experience working in a general practice setting as well as emergency and specialty medicine. At home she lives with her husband, daughter and 4 fur kids. Dyna (german shepherd), Poppy (pitty mix), Stuart Little (cat), and Tweak (cat). In her spare time she enjoys drawing art work, relaxing with her family, and spending time outdoors
Hannah (Han) is our Receptionist, another local who grew up in Napa and graduated from Vintage High School. She then attended Napa Valley College and graduated with a degree in Natural Science and Mathematics. In her spare time she loves video games, the great outdoors, and wildlife photography. She has a certificate in handling exotic reptiles and hopes to continue working with animals of all shapes/sizes.
Nicole was born and raised in the Napa Valley, as a graduate from Vintage high school, Nicole has always had a passion for all types of animals. She has been working in the vet care industry for several years and has created lifelong friendships with clients and patients in that time. Nicole enjoys being outside hiking, walking, or just enjoying the sunshine with her 5 year old fur baby, Josephine. When Nicole gets a free day she plays softball, or will also sit down to read a good book. She is excited to be a part of Napa River Pet Hospital.
Jessica grew up in the Napa Valley and aspired to be a vet tech since she was a little girl. She has been living her dream for the last several years as a Veterinary Assistant. She has a passion for assisting surgery and a caring touch with patients. She attends CE seminars regularly to further her knowledge and looks forward to continuing her career. She has 2 cats (Jesus and Optimus Prime) and Odi the pitbull. She also has three of her own human kids.
Robert lives locally and has worked in the veterinary field for several years. A Vintage high school graduate and a walking "fun fact" encyclopedia. Robert enjoys all animals, especially bugs, and has had an interest in nature and science as a whole for a majority of his life. In his free time he enjoys Extreme Metal music, video games, and eating at new and interesting places.
Courtney is a mother of 4, two little humans, her dog Max, and her kitten Yogurt. She's been in the animal business for the past 14 years. She was an animal trainer at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for 9 years and spent some time as a keeper at Safari West. She has worked with many species from raptors to rhinos. For the last few years she has found her new love for veterinary medicine and is very excited to be joining the team her at Napa River and Napa West Pet Hospital.
Kelly is from a small farming community outside Chico, California called Colusa. Shes always had a love for animals and has decided to go back to her childhood dream of wanting to peruse animal care. She’s currently attending Napa Valley College where she will achieve her general education and then transfer to Chico State University. Her goal is to obtain a degree in Animal Science. Her hobbies include going back to her home town to spend time with her family, friends, and as well as her families animals which include 3 goats, 2 dogs and a horse.
Grayson has always had a passion for horses and animals. She started horseback riding lessons at the age of 6, competed in hunter/jumpers, and last year volunteered herself to help many horses during the valley fires by transporting them to safety. Throughout high school at St. Helena high, she was enrolled in FFA, graduated with a green hand degree, chapter FFA degree and state degree. She currently has a black lab named Remi who is her world. In her free time she still pursue riding horses and likes to go on adventures with her dog and boyfriend. Her goal is to go back to school eventually to become a vet tech and be a lifetime equestrian.
Makayla was born and raised in the Napa valley. Growing up, all animals have always had a special place in her heart. She has recently begun to have a passion and interest in working/training dogs ever since she has been able to help professionally train her black lab Leo. In her free time she loves to do anything outdoorsy as long as she’s with her friends and her dog.
